The Ham Hock and Piccalilli sandwich is 100% British Pork with Mayonnaise and mixed leaves on white bread.

These sandwiches should attract shoppers who are looking for something different to try this January.

Sophie Lyons, marketing manager at Hovis says:

"Sandwich thins have become a key alternative for bread occasions and now the fastest growing sandwich segment with an impressive growth of 54%. Flatbreads are also bucking the trend within supermarket ready-meal sandwiches, and we are confident that we can offer consumers are healthier alternative without compromising on taste, texture or fulfilment. Hovis is renowned for goodness and innovation and with the introduction of both products we aim to not just add value to shoppers’ lifestyles but also for retailer’s sales’, (Forecourt Trader, 2015).
additional enjoyment for your customers, merchandise Hovis Sandwich Thins and Flatbreads alongside branded sandwich selections to offer choice as well as a healthier alternative. Why not also place sandwich fillers, such as Ham, Turkey, Coronation Chicken and Cheese in the fridge next to your pre-made sandwiches and place your bread products nearby. This gives your customers more lunch and pack-up options, driving category sales without the need for new lines.
