The Rise of Premium Wines
There is a subtle change occurring in the alcohol aisle – customers are selecting a better quality of wine. Premium wine, as a share of unit sales of total wine, has increased over the last 2 years.
Yo Ho Ho and a bottle (or two) of Rum
It seems that consumers are turning towards rum as their interest in gin wanes. Rum’s share of total spirit turnover in c-stores has increased over the last 3 years. Vodka and whisky remain number 1 & 2 in the rankings, but rum has moved from 5th to 3rd position.
