From flapjacks to fairy cakes, the ShopMate team rolled up their sleeves and rolled out the dough for a good cause last week as they hosted a charity bake sale in support of Breast Cancer Now’s Afternoon Tea fundraiser.

The whole team came together, organised by Ziville and Bryony, baking, bringing, and most importantly, buying, a delicious spread of cakes, biscuits, and savoury snacks. There was something for everyone – from the homemade office favourites like savoury pizza rolls and raspberry chocolate brownies to plum muffins and lime cheesecake – every crumb helped raise awareness and vital funds for the UK’s leading breast cancer research and support charity.
It was a brilliant team effort, with tables laden with treats and a steady stream of staff stopping by for a cuppa and a slice of something sweet. The breakroom buzzed with conversation and generosity, and the donations pot filled up quickly.
We’re proud to report that every cupcake bought, every traybake shared helped make a difference. Breast Cancer Now funds life-changing research and offers support to anyone affected by breast cancer—so every pound raised goes a long way.
It isn’t just about cake, wearing pink and having fun though – events like these remind everyone to regularly check themselves for lumps, bumps and unusual symptoms because catching cancer early can save lives.
A big thank you to everyone who took part, whether you baked, brought, or just tucked in. It’s this kind of team spirit that makes ShopMate more than just a workplace.
