We’re taking time to come together for cup of tea and some cake.
We’re hosting an office afternoon tea in support of Breast Cancer Now. It’s an important cause and one that’s close to our hearts – breast cancer accounts for 15% of cancers in the Uk, with 1 woman diagnosed every 10 minutes.
Every workplace has its star bakers. The colleagues whose cakes disappear first at team meetings, whose biscuits somehow taste better than shop-bought ones, and who never turn up to an event empty-handed. This afternoon tea gives them the perfect opportunity to showcase their skills for a great cause.
From classic Victoria sponge cakes to family recipes that have been passed down through generations, we’re expecting a table full of treats. Of course, there may also be a little friendly rivalry as everyone tries to decide which bake deserves the title of office favourite.
Most importantly, every slice sold will help support the vital work carried out by Breast Cancer Now. The charity funds world-class research, provides support for those affected by breast cancer and works towards a future where everyone diagnosed receives the care and treatment they need.
We’re looking forward to seeing what our talented bakers create and raising as much as possible. Breast Cancer Now provides support to the women and men who are diagnosed each year so we’re happy to get baking to help them raise the funds they need to keep on going.
