James hikes a marathon to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our dedicated Operations Manager, James Seymour, has taken on an incredible challenge – walking 26 miles in a single day – all to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support
James joined the Macmillan Peak District Mighty Hike this summer, setting off and finishing in Bakewell. That’s a full 26 mile marathon, hiking up and down the stunning (but somewhat hilly!) Peak District.
It’s a considerable physical effort, and we’re incredibly proud of James for completing it. He’s raised £415 so far, and every pound will go to Macmillan’s essential work supporting people living with cancer and their families.
James said: “Macmillan is a cause that’s close to my heart. I’ve seen first-hand how much of a difference their support can make – not just for patients, but for the people around them too. I wanted to give something back, and this felt like a good way to do it.”
The Macmillan Mighty Hikes are a series of organised fundraising walks that take place across the UK, with thousands of participants each year. Funds raised help Macmillan provide medical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer.
If you’d like to support James’s fundraiser, his JustGiving page is still open for donations. Well done James – we hope your feet recover quickly!
