During the run-up to All Hallow’s Eve – and throughout the months of September and October – special lines of sweets, chocolate, and crisps hit the shelves boasting of special flavours, packaging, and deals.

However, with such a wide array of produce available, it’s hard to tell which spooky-themed specials are the best sellers. Fear not, though, for that’s where we can help! Top 5 selling ‘Halloween’ products throughout October and November 2018:

Pumpkins!

Excluding seeds and soups, our data gives an insight into the sale of pumpkins during the run up to Halloween. Looking specifically at sales data comparisons from 2017 and 2018, we can showcase that:
  • The East Midlands bought the largest number of pumpkins in the run up to Halloween 2017, whereas the East of England purchased the least.
  • The South West of Britain procured the largest number of pumpkins for Halloween 2018, while the East of England again bought the lowest number.
  • The week before October 31st, 2017, made up 44% of all ‘Halloween’ units sold across October and November.
  • The week before Halloween 2018 made up 22% of all units sold across October and November, while the week of October 31st made up 27% of units sold.
